Version History
Version 1.1b5 (November 2, 2005)
- "Use Quotes" was moved into the "Unix Paths" group as it doesn't make sense for HFS.
- "Escape Spaces" was added as an optional checkbox. This should satisfy both Terminal and "Go to Folder..." users.
Version 1.1b3 (May 24, 2005)
- First release in three years!
- Name changed to PathSnagger due to conflict with existing product.
- Added a Preference Pane to set options.
- "Relaunch Finder" button in Preference Pane.
- Menu items can now appear in the main menu instead of the sub-menu if desired. This is configurable in the Preference Pane.
- Quotes are now optional! (Easily the #1 request.)
- Spaces are now escaped properly for Unix-style paths. (Easily the #2 request.)
- Added option to replace "/Users/username" with "~".
- Added option to output in a local URL format (file:// ...)
Version 1.0.3 (Mar. 12, 2002)
- Multiple items are now separated by a space, not a semi-colon and a space. The semi-colon delimited strings were fine when being viewed by people, but command-line utilities didn't do so well with them.
Version 1.0.2 (Feb. 28, 2002)
- By popular demand, added quotes around POSIX paths.
- CopyPath no longer tries to install itself in the contextual menu if the menu does not belong to the Finder. This was previously causing problems with DragThing, and probably other applications.
- Replaced the "Wish List" document with "Known Problems," since there wasn't anything in the Wish List, but there was a known problem.
Version 1.0.1 (Feb. 25, 2002)
- Added option to copy path in Classic MacOS style (HFS).
- Improved error reporting.
Version 1.0 (Feb. 16, 2002)
